Our intraoral scanner allows us to quickly record images of our patients’ teeth and jaw. In many cases, we utilize the intraoral scanner instead of using messy materials to make old-fashioned impressions.

In the past, taking impressions of your smile meant you had to bite into a goopy mold so that orthodontists could use that impression of your teeth to create braces and other appliances. Today, we can use a digital scanner that scans your teeth and gums to create a digital impression. This means that many patients do not need undergo the old-fashioned process.

• Our digital workflow and process allows up to create digitally fit appliances that fit better but also reduce the number of visits to get you your appliances, eliminate the need for spacers being flossed between teeth.
• Instead of poorly adapted bands going around the teeth our appliances take advantage of  3D design and metal printing to create a band that fits the tooth tighter and because of the better fit doesn’t have to go between the teeth. This makes it so you don’t need a spacers and it is easier to keep clean.
